Located in beautiful Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest, Fifth Water Hot Springs is a popular destination for visitors and locals from the Salt Lake City area. These scenic hot springs are located in Diamond Fork Canyon, which splits off from Spanish Fork Canyon. From the trailhead, follow the trail southeast along the east bank of Sixth Water Creek to its confluence with Fifth Water Creek. As you travel along the trail, the water in the creek will turn milky blue and start smelling like sulfur, a sign that you’re getting close. When you reach the hot springs, you’ll get to enjoy several different pools where individuals have constructed rock walls to dam the hot water and create pools. One pool is at the base of a beautiful waterfall!
Parking and a bathroom are available at the trailhead. Parking on the street is discouraged and subject to ticketing. This area is very popular and sees many visitors every year. It is important to do your part when visiting. Leave the area as you found it, carry out all trash and waste.
